ABOUT the project
This at-grade station and plaza are located in the heart of the rapidly growing Overlake Village neighborhood. A banded pattern of various paving colors and textures provides continuity across the site from the south platform entry, along the patron drop off lane, continuing to the generous north plaza area. The open plaza accommodates clear circulation to the station as well as offers flexibility in programming, allowing for community gatherings, temporary food vendor kiosks, and future permanent art installation.
The station is connected to the region’s trail network via a pedestrian bridge, showcasing an installation by local artist Leo Burke. The station and plaza act as a node and catalyst for future growth in the area.
