about the project

As the connecting link with the hospital and the community on the north, the design accounts for the high-density zoning adjacent to the bridge that contributes to the ridership and the desirability of the neighborhood itself.

The bridge has a two-fold purpose: to architecturally contribute to the improvement of the area and to provide connectivity. The character of the bridge blends with the transit center, garage and shelters and provides weather protection for the riders. Accommodation, convenience, and security are critical to ridership. The stairs, the bridge structure, and lighting all contribute to the urban design improvements and provide access to transit.
