about the project
The International Boulevard Pedestrian Bridge provides direct access for patrons across International Boulevard to SeaTac Airport Station and the airport beyond. The accompanying plaza is a node of open civic space, patron drop-off, pedestrian circulation, bike storage, and RapidRide transit stops. The program developed from the Project Environmental Assessment and a subsequent traffic study. Planting areas were developed to reinforce the axis of the overhead connection from the bridge, accessed from the plaza by an elevator and stair.
